The secondary support type anti-theft manhole cover comprises a manhole cover supporting body and a manhole cover body, wherein the manhole cover supporting body comprises a cylinder and a supporting ring; the manhole cover body is arranged in the supporting ring; a plurality of through holes are formed in the side wall ofthe cylinder and are distributed in a circular array manner around the axis of the cylinder; a guide sleeve is arranged on the outer side of each through hole; a supporting rod is arranged in each guide sleeve, slides along the guide sleeve and stretches into the cylinder through the through hole; a convex block is arranged on the top surface of the free end of each supporting rod; the side wall of one side, close to the center of the supporting rod, of each convex block is an arc-shaped convex surface, and is provided with a thread; the multiple convex blocks are connected through a mountingbox; a control circuit board and a buzzer are arranged in the mounting box; and an infrared sensor is arranged on the top of the mounting box. The secondary support type anti-theft manhole cover has an anti-theft effect, reduces the probability of loss of the manhole cover body, and maintains the normal service condition; and the secondary support in the secondary support type anti-theft manhole cover can provide additional support in the case of the manhole cover body being lost or damaged, and thus, potential safety hazards are reduced.
