The invention discloses a height limit monitoring device for a load-carrying vehicle. The device comprises a mounting groove dug in a road surface; a plurality of groups of first springs are fixedly embedded in the mounting groove; the upper ends of the first springs are jointly and fixedly connected with a bearing plate; two vertically-arranged first column bodies are symmetrically and fixedly connected to the two sides of the road surface at the front end of the mounting groove; a first wire guide wheel is fixedly mounted on the side wall of the upper end of each first column body; two vertically-arranged second column bodies are symmetrically and fixedly connected to the two sides of the road surface at the ends, away from the bearing plate, of the two first column bodies; and a mounting frame is fixedly connected to the side wall of the upper end of each second column body. According to the device of the invention, the cargo carrying height of the load-carrying vehicle can be monitored, so that a bridge and a tunnel are prevented from being scratched or impacted and damaged, and the safety of passengers is higher. The device can be automatically reset to continuously monitor and intercept subsequent vehicles, just exerts little influence on traffic, manual operation control is not needed; and the device is convenient to use.
