The invention discloses an electromagnetic track tamper for building construction. The tamper comprises a machine body; multiple right-angled tamping pressing grooves are formed in the bottom of the machine body; and a tamping pressing bent pipe is fixedly mounted in each right-angled tamping pressing groove and comprises a vertical pipe and a horizontal pipe. According to the tamper, magnetic fields are produced by spiral coils, so that magnetic pistons push tamping pressing rods and tamping pressing plates to work, the construction noise is low, the construction area is large, and the work efficiency is high; through linkage of piston plates and the magnetic pistons, power shafts drive moving shafts and moving wheels to rotate through power gears and driven gears, so that the machine body can move forwards automatically while performing tamping pressing, the labor can be reduced, and the safety can be increased.
