The invention discloses a slope protection system for expressway rebuilding and expanding. The slope protection system comprises a slope and a geogrid layer, a gravel layer, a reinforcing layer, an anchoring layer and a vegetation layer; the sides, close to the slope, of the geogrid layer, the gravel layer and the reinforcing layer are fixedly connected with flexible pipes correspondingly; the flexible pipe on the geogrid layer is arranged into the slope in an inserted mode, the flexible pipe on the gravel layer is arranged into the geogrid layer in an inserted mode, and the flexible pipe on the reinforcing layer is arranged into the gravel layer in an inserted mode; and the two ends of the flexible pipes are provided with net-shaped metal structures correspondingly, the flexible pipes areeach in a bent shape and filled with electrorheological fluid, and the net-shaped metal structures at the two ends of the flexible pipes are made of stainless steel. The slope protection system has the advantages that when a vehicle travels on a road, because the vehicle necessarily carries a large amount of ferromagnetic metal, a permanent magnet moves in a spiral tube to generate a current, thecurrent flows through the flexible pipes to enable the electrorheological fluid in the flexible pipes to be converted into an extremely-rigid state, and thus it is ensured that when the vehicle travels nearby the slope, the structure of the slope part is more stable.
