The invention provides an assembly type wallboard storage system comprising a plurality of wallboards and a wall body; the plurality of wallboards are combined and spliced into a storage cabinet; a first mounting groove is formed in the wall body; a connecting keel is arranged in the first mounting groove; a plurality of inserting holes are formed in the connecting keel; a plurality of first connecting pieces are arranged on the connecting keel; a hanging space is formed between the first connecting pieces and the connecting keel; second connecting pieces are arranged on the storage cabinet, the second connecting pieces are hung in the hanging space, a storage cavity is formed in the storage cabinet, a plurality of layer plates are arranged in the storage cavity, layer plate supporting arms are arranged on the two sides of each layer plate respectively, and the ends, opposite to the layer plates, of the layer plate supporting arms are connected into the inserting holes. The invention further provides an assembly method of the storage system. Compared with the prior art, the problem of stable connection between the wallboards and the wall body can be effectively solved, so that thepurpose of improving the safety is achieved.
