The invention discloses an overwater drilling ship and a working method. The drilling ship is of a two-ship-body combined structure and comprises a first ship body, a second ship body and drilling supporting devices arranged on the first ship body and the second ship body. The drilling supporting device comprises a rotating base fixedly installed on the first ship body and the second ship body, aconnecting plate connected to one end of the rotating base in a sleeving mode, and a telescopic rotating arm connected to the two connecting plates. A drilling device mounting plate is fixedly mountedabove the rotating arm; a control system is further arranged on the first ship body and the second ship body, and a control chip and a wireless communication module are arranged in the control system. Compared with a traditional drilling platform, the two-ship-body parallel structure is more flexible, the telescopic rotating arm is hinged between the two ship bodies and can be specifically adjusted according to the specific condition of a river channel, and compared with a single drilling ship, the mode of the two ship bodies has better wind-proof and wave-proof stability.
