The invention discloses a high-performance slump retaining agent for concrete. A formula of the high-performance slump retaining agent comprises the following components in parts by mass: 2400 to 2650parts of pre-added water, 2650-2800 parts of methyl allyl alcohol polyoxyethylene ether, 990-1110 parts of an intermediate, 40-50 parts of beta-hydroxy-beta methyl calcium butyrate, 10-14 parts of apotassium permanganate solution with the mass percentage concentration of 2.5%, 15-19 parts of hydrogen peroxide with the mass percentage concentration of 27.5%, 104.7-105.7 parts of a vitamin C solution and 2400-2650 parts of post-added water; the pre-added water and the post-added water are clear water; the vitamin C liquid contains 100 parts of clear water and 4.7-5.7 parts of vitamin C. The high-performance slump retaining agent is prepared by the following steps: adding pre-added water, and then adding methylallyl alcohol polyoxyethylene ether accounting for 1/8-1/6 of the total amount; adding an assistant body; adding the rest of methyl allyl alcohol polyoxyethylene ether; adding the intermediate; adding the potassium permanganate solution and hydrogen peroxide; and adding the vitamin C liquid. The concrete slump retaining duration can be obviously prolonged and reaches 6-7 hours, the concrete transportation limitation and construction requirements are met, and the strength of aconcrete structure is guaranteed.
