The invention discloses a turnout and a rail system. The turnout is arranged on the rail system. The rail system comprises a plurality of rails; the plurality of tracks are crossed at one place; eachtrack is disconnected at the intersection; each track comprises a first track beam and a second track beam; the first track beam and the second track beam are oppositely arranged and spaced. The system is characterized in that the turnout comprises a rotary seat, the rotating seat is arranged at the intersection of the plurality of tracks; the rotating seat can be rotatably switched among a plurality of switching-on positions; the plurality of connection positions are in one-to-one correspondence with the plurality of tracks, the rotating seat is connected with the corresponding tracks at theconnection positions, the rotating seat comprises a first side plate and a second side plate which are opposite and spaced, and when the rotating seat is at the connection positions, the first side plate is connected with the first track beams of the corresponding tracks, and the second side plate is connected with the second track beams of the corresponding tracks. According to the turnout provided by the embodiment of the invention, the switching of the connected rails is realized through the rotation of the rotating seat.
