The invention discloses a system for simulating natural water seepage of a city watercourse, and belongs to the field of conservation of water and soil of city watercourses. The system comprises seepage-proofing sections, wherein a permeable collection section is arranged between the two seepage-proofing sections and comprises a permeable riverbed, side slopes and river levees, the side slopes andthe river levees are arranged on the two sides of the riverbed, the permeable riverbed comprises a sand layer and a rubble layer, the sand layer is arranged on the rubber layer, a filter net layer isarranged between the sand layer and the rubble layer, a plurality of permeable pipes arranged in parallel are arranged on the lower part of the rubber layer, and a waterproof concrete layer is arranged at the bottoms of the permeable pipes; and water outlets of the permeable pipes are connected with water collection tanks, liquid level meters are arranged in the water collection tanks, each watercollection tank is connected with an irrigation device, and the irrigation devices irrigate and replenish soil bodies in the river levees. The invention further discloses a method for simulating natural water seepage of the city watercourse. The original water seepage replenishment balance between the watercourse and the surrounding environment of the watercourse can be kept as far as possible, not only is the purpose of keeping soil and water balance achieved, but also the water replenishment amount and water replenishment positions of surrounding soil bodies can be controlled.
