The invention discloses a water storage system used for urban greening. According to the technical scheme, the water storage system is characterized by comprising drainage channels located at the leftand right two sides of a green belt; the upper end of each drainage channel is provided with a filter plate; a purifying assembly is arranged in each drainage channel; lower ends of the drainage channels are connected with a water storage assembly; the water storage assembly is connected with an irrigation assembly; the purifying assembly includes a purifying frame fixed to the drainage channels;a coarse filter frame and a fine filter frame are fixed from top to bottom in the purifying frame; sand stones are piled in the coarse filter frame; a plurality of active carbon bags are placed in the fine filter frame; the water storage assembly includes a water storage tank; the water storage tank is connected with the drainage channels by a connecting pipe; the irrigation assembly includes anirrigation pump; a water inlet of the irrigation pump is connected with the water storage tank through a rainwater pipe; and a water outlet of the irrigation pump is connected with a water outlet assembly. The water storage system has the function of collecting rainwater to irrigate the green belt.
