The invention belongs to the field of rainwater collection, and particularly relates to a building water saving basement. The basement comprises a basement body, a water bag, a water inlet pipe, a movable floor, a winch, a transmission shaft, a volute spiral spring, a bevel gear, a step ladder mechanism and a storage rack mechanism. The water bag is arranged at the bottom inside the basement body.The water bag is connected with a rainwater collecting device on the ground through a water inlet pipe installed at an upper water inlet. The existing basement is modified for both rainwater storageand material storage, so that the basement has the function of rainwater storage on the premise of giving continuous play to the material storage function, rainwater accumulated in the basement is used for flushing a toilet bowl or irrigating indoor green plates, the rainwater utilizing rate is increased, and pure water source waste is reduced.
