The invention discloses a concrete additive, which is characterized by being prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 2 to 5 parts of phosphate s-triazinyl hyperbranched macromolecular compound, 8 to 12 parts of sulfonic diethanol amine/1, 3-adamantane diacetic acid condensation polymer, 1 to 3 parts of attapulgite and 1 to 4 parts of graphene oxide fiber. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the concrete additive. The concrete additive disclosed by the invention is more excellent in water reducing effect, less in mixing amount, better in environmental protection property and plasticizing effect, diverse in function, more remarkable in effect of improving the strength, flowability, durability and impermeability of a concrete material, free of negative influence on the comprehensive performance of concrete, and relatively high in economic value, social value and ecological value.
