The invention discloses a graphene modified silicon carbide ceramic material, which comprises graphene, alpha-phase silicon carbide and beta-phase silicon carbide, wherein the mass percentage of the graphene in the graphene modified silicon carbide ceramic material is 0.5%-1%. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the graphene modified silicon carbide ceramic material. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: mixing graphene, alpha-phase silicon carbide, a three-dimensional carbon material, alcohol-soluble resin and a solvent to obtain pasty mixed powder; granulating the mixed powder to obtain pre-granules; pressing the pre-particles into a biscuit; and making liquid metal silicon to be infiltrated into the biscuit and sintering at the sintering temperature of 1,450 DEG C to 1,600 DEG C, and the heat preservation time at the sintering temperature ranges from 1.5 h to 2.5 h. The invention further discloses the bulletproof armor.
