The invention discloses a terrace type garden terrain for rainwater utilization and a shaping method of the terrace type garden terrain, and is suitable for greenbelts of various sizes in cities, greenbelts of residential areas, public greenbelts, urban parks and coastal landscapes. The places are divided into four parts according to micro-landform highlands, wherein the first part is an upper-layer megaphanecophyte part, chemical components of pollutants in rainfall runoff are reduced through matrix filtration, peat purification and biological absorption, so that chemical resources in sewageare converted into biological resources; the second part is a middle-layer medium-sized arbor part; the third part is a lower-layer arbor/herbaceous plant part, wherein rainfall and rainfall runoff onthe upper layer are temporarily stored by setting the gradient of 2%-4%, partial infiltration is achieved, therefore, underground water is supplied, and besides, the pollutants in the rainfall runoffare absorbed and reduced again; the fourth part is an aquatic plant part for final pollutant adsorption and purification; and the height difference of the layers is controlled to be 50-80 cm, and thelayers are separated by a gabion being about 30-50 cm in width so as to block rainfall runoff in a short time.
