The fireproof building structure comprises a plurality of stand columns and wallboards installed between every two adjacent stand columns, a roof is horizontally fixed to a wall body, and each wallboard comprises a water tank, a cooling assembly and a coating layer coating the exterior of the water tank; a water absorbing layer is arranged inside each water tank, and a switch control assembly is arranged on the top wall of each water tank; each cooling assembly comprises a plurality of water spraying pipes and a connecting pipe communicated with the plurality of water spraying pipes, and pipe joints are arranged on each connecting pipe; and main pipelines communicated with the connecting pipes are installed on the stand columns and connected with an external water supply unit, and the switch control assemblies are electrically connected with the water supply unit to control the water supply unit to be started and stopped. The construction process comprises the steps that a foundation pit is leveled, a base and the fixed stand columns are buried, the fixed wallboards are laid between the stand columns to form the wall body, and then the roof is fixed. The fireproof building structure and the construction process have the advantage that the stability maintaining time of the building structure is prolonged when the building is on fire so as to reduce the collapse possibility.
