The method comprises the following steps: adding nano silicon dioxide, and stirring to prepare a nano silicon dioxide solution; soaking recycled aggregate in a hydrochloric acid solution, removing residual mortar on the surface, draining, and naturally air-drying to obtain pretreated recycled aggregate; and putting the pretreated recycled aggregate into the nano silicon dioxide solution, standing, taking out, and naturally air-drying to obtain the nano silicon dioxide modified recycled aggregate. The modified recycled aggregate provided by the invention has better mechanical properties and durability. The nano silicon dioxide can be better dispersed in the recycled aggregate and is less in agglomeration, and the soaked nano silicon dioxide can fill micro pores in the recycled aggregate, so that the compression resistance and the durability of the recycled aggregate are improved, the void ratio is reduced, and the utilization rate of the recycled aggregate is effectively improved.
