The invention discloses a three-dimensional variable stiffness limited seismic isolation device with a damping. The device comprises a bearing platform. The bottom of the bearing platform is connectedwith a device limit plate a through a plurality of steel springs. The device limit plate a is connected with the bottom of the bearing platform through a limit mechanism. The steel springs sleeve theouter side wall of the limit mechanism. The bottom of the device limit plate a is connected with a device limit plate b through a supporting cylinder. A three-dimensional variable stiffness seismic reduction device is composed of three parts of a seismic reduction device in z-axis direction, a seismic reduction device in X-axis direction and a seismic reduction device in Y-axis direction, and canbe used in three-dimensional seismic reduction and isolation. The ground motion caused by the earthquake can compress a spring element of the device and produce the mechanical characteristics of variable stiffness. The force opposite to the motion direction is provided at the initial stage, and the force consistent with the motion direction is provided after reaching a certain distance. Thereby,the positive stiffness is provided to limit the displacement of an isolation layer in the case of small earthquake, and negative stiffness is provided in the case of medium and large earthquakes to achieve the isolation effect.
