The invention relates to an ultrahigh side slope supporting structure and a construction method thereof. The supporting structure comprises slope crest anti-slide piles (2) arranged at the top of a slope body (1), slope base anti-slide piles (4) arranged at the bottom of the slope body, a frame body arranged along the slope surface and pre-stressed anchor cables (9) anchored in a stable soil layer; the frame body comprises cross beams (6) and stand columns (7) which are arranged in a staggered mode, one ends of the pre-stressed anchor cables (9) are arranged at the staggered joints between thecross beams and the stand columns, and the other ends of the pre-stressed anchor cables are anchored in the stable soil layer; the tops of the slope crest anti-slide piles (2) and the tops of the stand columns (7) in the frame body are connected into a whole through a top connecting beam (3), and the tops of the slope base anti-slide piles (4) and the bottoms of the stand columns (7) in the framebody are connected into a whole through a bottom connecting beam (5).
