The invention relates to an excavator bucket rod hydraulic system, an excavator and a method. The excavator bucket rod hydraulic system comprises a bucket rod oil cylinder, wherein a rod cavity and arodless cavity of the bucket rod oil cylinder are connected with a main valve bank through pipelines; the main valve bank is connected with a main pump; the main pump is connected with an oil tank; the main pump can drive hydraulic oil in the oil tank to enter the bucket rod oil cylinder through the main valve bank; the main valve bank is also connected with an oil return pipe provided with a backpressure valve; the oil return pipe is connected with the oil tank; a bypass oil pipe is arranged between a pipeline between the rodless cavity and the main valve bank and the oil return pipe betweenthe back pressure valve and the oil tank; and the bypass oil pipe is provided with a switching valve. The hydraulic system provided by the invention has the advantages that the pressure loss during bucket rod unloading is small; the operation efficiency is improved; and energy consumption is reduced.
