The invention relates to a shear-resistant reinforcing structure and a mounting method thereof. The structure comprises anchor plates (5) which are symmetrically arranged on a main body structure, theanchor plates (5) are connected with one another through a diagonal connecting mechanism, the diagonal connecting mechanism comprises four connecting rods (2) which are connected in a crossed mode, one ends of the connecting rods (2) are connected to the anchor plates (5), the other ends of the connecting rods (2) are connected to a cross center steel plate (1), and the connecting rods (2) and the cross center steel plate (1) are connected with one another through bidirectional reverse thread sleeves (3). Compared with the prior art, the structure and the method have the beneficial effects that the the connecting rods and the cross center steel plate are connected with one another through the bidirectional reverse thread sleeves, and the diagonal connecting mechanism is constructed, so that the applied prestress can be automatically adjusted, the purpose of being stressed in cooperation with an original structure is achieved; and the advantages of low cost and high construction efficiency are achieved.
