The invention relates to a road traffic marking cleaning device and method. The indicating light output by the laser generator is used for guiding the emergent position of laser,the emergent laser is used for carrying out laser scanning on the surface of the road traffic marking with dirt attached to the surface, cleaning of the surface layer of the road traffic marking andthe dirt attached to the surface layer is achieved, the road traffic marking is clean as new, and the light reflection effect is restored; the device has the advantages of high efficiency, no noise, no consumables, no pollution and the like, and the service life of the road traffic marking can be remarkably prolonged.
