The invention relates to a landscape retaining wall and belongs to the technical field of retaining walls. The landscape retaining wall comprises a bottom unit, a middle unit and a top unit which arearranged from bottom to top in sequence and connected mutually. The bottom unit is formed by mutually connecting a row of first building bricks with the longitudinal section in a right triangle shape;the middle unit is formed by mutually connecting multiple rows of second building bricks with the longitudinal section in a parallelogram shape; the top unit is formed by mutually connecting a row ofthird building bricks with the longitudinal section in a right triangle shape; and the end faces, connected mutually in the vertical direction, of the first building bricks, the second building bricks and the third building bricks are inclined faces, and the ends, located on the outer wall of the retaining wall, of the inclined faces are higher than the ends, located on the inner wall of the retaining wall, of the inclined faces. The invention further discloses a construction method of the landscape retaining wall. The landscape retaining wall and the construction method thereof have the advantage that a water source can go deeply into the bottom of soil to carry out irrigation on the roots of trees.
