The invention provides steel truss pushing equipment and a pushing method thereof. The equipment comprises a track beam, a rail clamping device, a transferring device and a pushing oil cylinder; flange plates are vertically arranged on the two sides of the track beam, and a sliding groove is formed between the track beam and the vertically-arranged flange plates; the rail clamping device comprisesa rail clamping device body, two pressing and abutting pieces and two stopping pieces, a containing through groove is formed in the bottom of the rail clamping device body, the flange plates are contained in the containing through groove, gaps are reserved between the two sides of the flange plates and the containing through groove, each stopping piece is provided with a small end and a large end, the thickness of the small head ends is gradually increased towards the large head ends, the thickness of the large head ends is larger than the width of the gaps, the small head ends of the stopping pieces are correspondingly inserted into the gaps, and the pressing and abutting pieces are installed at the tail end of the rail clamping device body and presses the large head ends; the transferring device is arranged in the sliding groove in a sliding manner; and the pushing oil cylinder is provided with a first end and a second end which are hinged to the rail clamping device body. Accordingto the equipment, the problem that the construction period of the steel truss is long due to the fact that a stable and shear-resistant main pier is needed in the existing dragging type pushing construction process of the steel truss is solved.
