This water discharge control device comprises: an object detection unit that, on the basis of image information of an area image in which an area to be imaged including a plurality of detection areasis imaged, determines whether or not an object to be detected lies within a first detection area, which is at least one of the plurality of detection areas included in the area to be imaged, and detects the position of the object when the object lies within the first detection area; a holding object detection unit that, on the basis of the image information, determines whether or not a holding object that holds the detection subject lies within a second detection area different from the first detection area among the plurality of detection areas, and detects the position of the holding objectwhen the holding object lies within the second detection area; and a control unit that controls water discharge on the basis of the detection result detected by the object detection unit and the detection result detected by the holding object detection unit. Water discharge conditions, which are conditions for controlling water discharge from a water discharge pipe, differ from each other in the plurality of detection areas.
