The invention discloses a refractory material suitable for a glass kiln. The refractory material comprises the following components in parts by weight: 45-60 parts of silica sol, 15-25 parts of aluminum oxide particles, 8-12 parts of flint clay powder, 5-10 parts of black silicon carbide, 2-5 parts of aluminum titanate, 0.5-2.5 parts of lanthanum oxide powder, 2-5 parts of borax, 0.8-1.5 parts ofcerium oxide powder and 3-6 parts of hollow glass beads. 2-5 parts of fumed silica, 1.5-3 parts of mullite powder and 1.5-3 parts of magnesium oxide. The refractory material suitable for the glass kiln provided by the invention has strong thermal shock resistance and strong corrosion resistance, and can solve the technical problems of poor thermal shock resistance and poor corrosion resistance ofthe refractory material for the glass kiln in the prior art. The invention also provides a preparation method of the refractory material.
