The invention discloses a stage stand column and a machining process thereof. The stage stand column comprises a stand column body at least composed of an upper section, a middle section and a lower section, wherein the upper section is of a hollow tubular structure; a plurality of chain wheels are arranged in the upper section; each chain wheel is provided with a chain; the middle portion of eachchain is matched with the upper portion of the corresponding chain wheel; the two ends of each chain penetrate out of the upper section through holes in the side wall of the upper section; a plurality of chain guide rails are arranged outside the lower section; the axes of the chain guide rails are spiral lines extending in the circumferential direction and the axial direction of the lower section; each chain is in sliding fit with the corresponding chain guide rail; a plurality of guide wheels are arranged outside the middle section; and the ends of the chains face upper end openings of thechain guide rails after being turned through the corresponding guide wheels and penetrate into the chain guide rails through the upper end openings. According to the stage stand column, the chains onthe stand column body can reciprocate along a three-dimensional spiral curve, and the stage stand column can be applied to large stand column bodies.
