The invention discloses a lifting device of an attachment type self-lifting high-altitude slip form operation platform and a method, and belongs to the field of construction equipment. The lifting device comprises a main lifting mechanism and an auxiliary lifting mechanism, and the two lifting mechanisms are mounted in two different platform frames of the same platform correspondingly. The main lifting mechanism and the auxiliary lifting mechanism each comprise main hooks, and the main lifting mechanism further comprises a hydraulic system. The main hooks of each lifting mechanism comprise thefirst main hook and the second main hook which are of the same structure, each main hook of the two main hooks of each lifting mechanism comprises a hook body, a connecting assembly and a hydraulic cylinder, the hydraulic cylinders are fixedly mounted on the bottom faces of the platform frames, and piston rods of the hydraulic cylinders are connected with the hook bodies through the connecting assemblies. The position relation between the hook bodies and a support cross beam of an attachment frame on a wall is controlled through stretching and contracting of the piston rods of the hydraulic cylinders, and the hydraulic cylinders are further controlled to drive the platform frames to ascend or descend through stretching and contracting of the piston rods. The hydraulic system drives the main lifting mechanism and the auxiliary lifting mechanism to work synchronously. The lifting device is simple in structure and easy to operate and can be conveniently operated and used in a construction site, and the defects that climbing equipment is complex and not easy to operate in the prior art are overcome.
