The invention relates to the technical field of gates, and discloses a gate driving mechanism and a swing gate. The gate driving mechanism comprises a machine shell assembly, a power output assembly,a lead screw, a sliding assembly and an abutting piece. The machine shell assembly is provided with a cylindrical containing cavity, and the inner side wall of the containing cavity extends downwardsin the circumferential direction of the containing cavity to form a guide groove. One end of the lead screw is connected with the output end of the power output assembly. The lead screw is sleeved with the sliding assembly. The abutting piece is connected with the sliding assembly and movably installed in the guide groove; the power output assembly drives the lead screw to rotate so as to drive the sliding assembly to move in the axial direction of the lead screw, and meanwhile, the abutting piece is driven to move in the guide groove, and the machine shell assembly is made to rotate circumferentially. Therefore, the swing gate provided by the embodiment of the invention can push the guide groove to do circumferential rotation through the extrusion of the abutting piece without the cooperation of a complex driving mechanism, so as to push the machine shell assembly to do circumferential rotation, thereby reducing the installation error, enabling the operation to be more accurate, and enabling the structure to be simpler.
