The safety type building scaffold comprises two symmetrically-arranged supporting assemblies, wherein two telescopic mechanisms are arranged at the bottom end of each supporting assembly; two parallel transverse rods are arranged on the front sidesand the rear sides of the two supporting assemblies; a folding assembly is connected between the two supporting assemblies in a sliding mode; the folding assembly is located above the transverse rods;each supporting assembly comprises a vertically-arranged fixed side plate; and a transversely-arranged bottom plate is fixedly installed at the bottom end of each fixed side plate. According to the safety type building scaffold and the assembling method thereof, the two fixed side plates are pulled outwards to be far away from each other, at the moment, two pedals are unfolded, the two pedals arelocated on the same horizontal plane, then a control switch of an electric telescopic rod is started, the electric telescopic rod can drive a protective plate to rotate, so that the protective plateis perpendicular to the pedals, the protective plate can play a certain role in protecting the personal safety of workers, and therefore the safety of the safety type building scaffold is improved.
