The invention relates to the technical field of non-point source pollution treatment, and provides a sewage intercepting box culvert water taking system. The sewage intercepting box culvert water taking system comprises a water taking opening formed in the side wall of a box culvert, a front staying pool communicating with the water taking opening and used for conducting buffering treatment on sewage entering from the water taking opening, a sand setting device communicating with the front staying pool and used for conducting pre-sand setting treatment on the sewage, and a pump cylinder communicating with the sand setting device and used for lifting the sewage to a sewage treatment system. The front staying pool, the sand setting device and the pump cylinder are all arranged below the ground. The sewage intercepting box culvert water taking system replaces a traditional building pump station, is a full-underground type sewage intercepting box culvert water taking system, is small in occupied area and convenient to construct and install, is free of overground building parts, and cannot generate any influence on riverway flood draining; and the independently-arranged sand setting device facilitates clearing of impurities in the sewage, and water can be smoothly taken in the limited water taking space.
