本发明提供了一种基于U型盾构机的横向可伸缩基坑支护架，应用于采用U型盾构机的叠拼式综合管廊施工中，由支护架为U型盾构机向前推进提供支撑，支护架通过设置侧板形成基坑侧边的支护墙，通过设置横撑和围檩提供相对侧板间的对撑，使支护架无需较深的插入地下(打桩)即能形成安全稳定的施工空间，进而省去普通支护架(钢板桩)的拔桩和桩端坑回填处理施工，施工简单方便；支护架的第二横撑活动连接方便垫层施工，将第二横撑上移即能够给综合管廊管片拼装施工提供足够的空间，支护架可工厂化预制然后现场进行多个支护架连续拼装，适用不同流水段长度的需要，可多次重复利用，节约施工成本。
