The self-sensing friction damper is divided into three parts from top to bottom that a triboelectrification upper sliding auxiliary plate group, a triboelectrification sliding main plate group and a triboelectrification lower sliding auxiliary plate group, wherein the triboelectrification upper sliding auxiliary plate group sequentially comprises a sliding auxiliary plate, an outer-layer conductive material and a triboelectrification positive plate from top to bottom; the triboelectrification sliding main plate group sequentially comprises a triboelectrification negative plate, an inner-layer conductive material, a sliding main plate, an inner-layer conductive material and a triboelectrification negative plate from top to bottom; the triboelectrification lower sliding auxiliary plate group is sequentially composed of a triboelectrification positive plate, an outer-layer conductive material and a lower sliding auxiliary plate from top to bottom; and the triboelectrification positive plate and the triboelectrification negative plate are prepared from two materials with remarkable triboelectrification difference. According to the self-sensing friction damper, self-sensing of the friction damper is achieved, and the friction damper is simple in structure and convenient to design and construct.
