The invention relates to a positioning and/or locking driving device for a leaf of a window, door or the like. The positioning and/or locking driving device comprises a housing, a variable-speed motorcomprising a drive unit and a transmission unit, an electronic control device for actuating the variable-speed motor, and an output element which can be acted on by the variable-speed motor and can be coupled or coupled to the leaf or to a locking device associated with the leaf. The speed and/or position of the output element can be controlled and/or adjusted by the electronic control device bytaking into account the respective relative position of the output element detected via the relative or incremental displacement measuring device.
