The invention discloses a foundation pit supporting system and a construction method thereof. The foundation pit supporting system comprises a plane supporting system arranged on the slope surface ofa foundation pit and an anchoring supporting system acting inside the slope body of the foundation pit, wherein the plane supporting system is fixedly connected to the anchoring supporting system; theplane supporting system and/or the anchoring supporting system are/is further provided with a pre-tensioning system, and the pre-tensioning system comprises: a pre-tightening part for pre-tighteningand applying force to the plane supporting system and/or the anchoring supporting system; a tensioning device for tensioning and pre-tightening the pre-tightening piece; and an adjusting assembly formonitoring a stress condition of the plane supporting system and/or the anchoring supporting system and adjusting the tensioning pre-tightening degree of the pre-tightening piece at the correspondingposition. The foundation pit supporting system has the effects of adjusting the stress strength of the whole supporting system, can adapt to different external loads in time, achieves the reliable supporting effect, and is simple in structure, low in cost and suitable for application and popularization.
