The invention discloses a hydraulic engineering overhaul ladder and a using method thereof. The hydraulic engineering overhaul ladder comprises a first supporting plate, a first through hole is formedin the outer side wall of the first supporting plate, a first barrel is hinged to the interior of the first through hole, a third through hole is formed in the inner bottom wall of the first barrel,and a supporting column is slidably connected to the interior of the third through hole; and fourth fixing blocks arranged at equal intervals are welded to the outer side wall of the supporting column. Through a rotating shaft, a first disc, a first rod body, a first fixing plate, a first sliding groove, a second threaded rod, a third threaded rod and the supporting column, when a worker is in a high place, the first barrel supports the overhauling ladder, and the situation that the safety of the worker is threatened due to sideslip of the overhauling ladder is prevented; and through the firstrod body, the first sliding groove, the first fixing plate and the second threaded rod, the worker can conveniently control stretching and retracting of the supporting column, and the situation thatthe supporting column cannot support the overhauling ladder easily according to the inclination degree of the overhauling ladder is prevented.
