The invention discloses an anchor cable supporting system for a cave roof soil high slope and a construction method. According to the scheme, the stability of the soil slope can be improved, the structural safety can be protected, and therefore the application range of the anchor cable supporting system in the cave roof soil high slope is widened. The supporting system structurally comprises prestressed anchor cables, reinforced concrete frame beams and reinforced concrete anchor piers, wherein the frame beams comprise cross beams and longitudinal beams which are arranged at equal intervals; the anchor piers are arranged on the intersection joints of the cross beams and the longitudinal beams at intervals; and one end of each prestressed anchor cable is fixed to the corresponding anchor pier, and the other end of each prestressed anchor cable is inserted into bed rock of the soil high slope. The construction method comprises the steps that groove excavation treatment is conducted on the excavation face of the soil high slope, longitudinal grooves formed at equal intervals are excavated, transverse grooves formed at equal intervals are excavated, prestressed anchor cable construction is conducted on the intersection joints of the cross beams and the longitudinal beams, and the reinforced concrete anchor piers are arranged on the frame beam joints provided with the prestressed anchor cables.
