The invention discloses a chromium corundum composite brick for a hazardous waste incinerator rotary kiln, which comprises a heavy part and a light part, wherein the heavy part adopts chromium oxide,sintered corundum, fused corundum, mullite and activated aluminum oxide micro powder, the light part adopts light corundum aggregate and composite light burning powder, and the heavy part and the light part are sintered at high temperature to form a light and heavy integrated brick body. The light part serves as a thermal insulation layer, and the heavy part serves as a working layer. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the corundum composite brick. Compared with conventional corundum bricks and insulating bricks, the corundum composite brick prepared by the method has the advantages that the technical performance is stable, the effective working thickness of the working layer is relatively increased under the condition that the total thickness is not increased, and the service life is prolonged.
