The invention relates to the field of keeping underground foundation sections or other areas dry by lowering the underground water level, and particularly relates to a filtering type foundation pit local dewatering device and a using method thereof. The filtering type foundation pit local dewatering device comprises a foundation pit (1), wherein a water tank (2) is excavated in the bottom of the foundation pit (1). The filtering type foundation pit local dewatering device is characterized by further comprising a framework (3), filter screens (4) and a water pump (5), wherein the framework (3)is a cuboid frame and is arranged in the water tank (2), the filter screens (4) are attached to the two opposite side faces of the framework (3) respectively, and a water pumping opening of the waterpump (5) is formed in the framework (3). The using method of the filtering type foundation pit local dewatering device is characterized by sequentially comprising the following steps of (1) placing and (2) dewatering.
