The invention discloses a short-structure ballast type suction pile. The pile comprises a suction pile body and a ballast compartment, wherein the suction pile body is arranged at the bottom end of the ballast compartment, a sea port is formed in the ballast compartment and formed in the side wall of the upper portion of the ballast compartment, an injection pipe and a water pumping pipe are arranged on the upper bottom face of the ballast compartment, a lower end opening of the injection pipe is formed in the ballast compartment, an upper end opening of the injection pipe is formed outside the ballast compartment, a lower end opening of the water pumping pipe is formed in the suction pile, and an upper end opening of the water pumping pipe is formed outside the ballast compartment. According to the suction pile, the uplift bearing capacity of the suction pile is improved by improving ballast, so that the ballast type suction pile can resist a severe working condition environment.
