The light steel keel structure is arranged at the lower part of a wall top, comprises a main keel, a sub keel, a hanging piece, a side keel and a hanging rod, and is characterized in that the top end of the hanging rod is fixedly connected with the hanging piece, and is vertical to and fixedly connected with the wall top through the hanging piece; the main keel is fixedly connected with the bottom end of the hanging rod through a bracket; the sub keel is fixedly connected with the lower surface of the main keel through the hanging piece arranged on the main keel, is parallel to the ground and is perpendicular to the main keel; the side keel is fixed to the upper half part of the wall through a soft connecting piece; and the two ends of the sub keel are placed on the lower side wall of the side keel and is abutted against the upper side wall of the side keel. The invention also provides a construction method of the light steel keel structure. The construction method is used for installing the light steel keel structure. The light steel keel structure built by using the construction method cannot easily deform or crack under the effects of thermal expansion and cold contraction or external force, and has good corrosion resistance, and the service life of the light steel keel structure is prolonged.
