Panel system for modular building construction
A composite construction element or panel system for constructing a multilayer structure is used as a prefabricated panel system or as a modular system. The composite construction member includes twoheavy wood panels connected at a distance to form a hollow core through which various construction services (e.g., HVAC or electrical systems) and/or thermal insulation can be integrated. When used asa modular system, after assembly, the two sub-panels become one structural entity that increases structural capacity while providing a hollow core to provide/deliver the desired building service.
