The invention discloses a shape-optimized assembly type shear damper with a staged yield energy dissipation mechanism. The damper comprises in-plane deformation energy dissipation sheets, out-of-planedeformation energy dissipation sheets, a first connecting plate and a second connecting plate; and the first connecting plate and the second connecting plate are arranged in parallel; the in-plane deformation energy dissipation sheets and the out-of-plane deformation energy dissipation sheets are fixedly arranged between the first connecting plate and the second connecting plate; a plurality of through holes are formed in each in-plane deformation energy dissipation sheet in the length direction in an array mode; each through hole is of a structure with the middle gradually collapsing towardsthe two ends; the two ends of each through hole face the first connecting plate and the second connecting plate respectively; two out-of-plane deformation energy dissipation sheets symmetrical relative to a corresponding in-plane deformation energy dissipation sheet are arranged in the middle of every two adjacent through holes; and a reserved seam is formed between the out-of-plane deformation energy dissipation sheets and the corresponding in-plane deformation energy dissipation sheet. The damper has the beneficial effects that the edge shapes of the in-plane deformation energy dissipationsheets and the out-of-plane deformation energy dissipation sheets of the damper are optimized, so that the stress distribution is more uniform, and the ductility is better.
