The invention relates to a steep slope top view enhancing device which comprises a foundation, a support, a signboard and an observation mirror, the foundation is installed underground, the support isarranged on the foundation, and the signboard and the observation mirror are installed on the support. A position mounting method of the steep slope top view enhancing device comprises the followingsteps: (1), investigating the terrain near a steep slope; (2), investigating vehicles passing through the road; (3), simulating the conditions of the vehicle when the vehicle passes through a flat slope and an abrupt slope; (4), determining a proper position of the observation mirror and an installation angle of the observation mirror; (5), determining the position of the support so as to determine the position of the foundation (1); and (6), installing facilities on site and debugging the angle of the observation mirror. The observation mirror is arranged above the top end of the steep slope,when a driver goes up and down the steep slope, the driver can know the road surface condition within the range of the blind area in front of the vehicle in time through the observation mirror, traffic accidents caused by the blind area in front of the vehicle are reduced, and the psychological pressure of the driver is relieved.
