The invention relates to the related field of railway construction, and discloses a rail thermite welding automatic welding and polishing device which comprises a main box body, an up-down through observation cavity is formed in the main box body, and a fixed belt cavity is formed in the position, located on the front side of the observation cavity, in the main box body. Two bidirectional threadedrod cavities with downward openings are formed in the positions, located on the rear side of the fixed belt cavity, in the main box body with the observation cavity as the symmetric center. Through automatic meshing of dies, residues are removed, a welding face is polished, the integration degree and the automation degree are high, waste of labor force is avoided, meanwhile, the whole construction process can be automatically completed by pressing a start button, manual operation of workers is not needed, the workers are prevented from making direct contact with harmful gas, and the risk thatthe workers are scalded by high temperature is also avoided; a swing rod drives a polisher to swing back and forth in an arc shape, a moving block drives a grinding wheel to reciprocate left and right, polishing work on the surface of the welding position is achieved, and therefore a train can normally pass through a rail at the welding position.
