The invention relates to a novel fabricated cast steel joint, and belongs to the field of innovation of space grid structure joints. The interior of a novel fabricated cast steel ball joint is a cavity. External branch pipes and a steel ball are connected into a whole. The connection between the branch pipes and the steel ball enables the structure to be smooth through fillets. The branch pipes are distributed in the circumferential direction of the steel ball. Four steel pipes of the upper hemisphere obliquely extend outwards, and four steel pipes of the middle hemisphere extend outwards in the axial direction. The middles of the connecting parts between the steel pipes and the steel ball are hollow. Oblique rod pieces in the ball are obtained through topological optimization and is integrated with the outer ball shell. A steel ball surface is provided with a curved surface shape which is obtained by topological optimization calculation by taking the number, the positions and the diameters of the branch pipes as parameters and is matched with the stress of borne steel rods. Topological optimization analysis is carried out on the ball joint, so that the self-weight of the fabricated cast steel ball joint is greatly reduced while various mechanical properties are met.
