The invention discloses a tidal harbor basin silt prevention device and method. The tidal harbor basin silt prevention device comprises a reservoir, a silt flushing pipe and a water inlet gate; the reservoir is close to an embankment, and the reservoir communicates with a water area through the water inlet gate; the water inlet gate is a one-way self-control valve and can only enable water flow toenter the reservoir from the water area; the reservoir communicates with the water area through the silt flushing pipe; the water inlet end of the silt flushing pipe is connected with the bottom of the reservoir, and the water outlet end of the silt flushing pipe is arranged at the position, close to the bottom of the harbor basin, on the top wall of the harbor basin; and the silt flushing pipe is used for discharging the water flow in the reservoir into the harbor basin in a jet flow mode and flushing silt deposited in the harbor basin. The tidal harbor basin silt prevention device does notneed manual operation, does not depend on any other equipment, has the advantages of being simple in structure, low in cost, good in silt prevention effect and the like, and has wide application prospects.
