The invention relates to a frameless tent and a preparation method thereof. The frameless tent comprises a hemispherical tent body, the tent body is formed by splicing a plurality of splicing pieces,each splicing piece is of a polygonal structure made of PC plates, and connecting holes are formed in the middles and the vertex angles of all sides of each splicing piece respectively. Each side andthe vertex angle of any splicing piece are respectively connected with the adjacent splicing pieces through the connecting pieces arranged in the connecting holes, and the splicing piece on the upperside is pressed on the splicing piece on the lower side, so that the splicing piece has the advantages of simple structure, low cost, convenience in disassembly and assembly and reliability in sealing. The method has the advantages of simple process and high working efficiency.
