The invention provides a vortex eliminating device for a hydropower station water inlet and a vortex eliminating adjusting method. The vortex eliminating device comprises fixed arms, a guide rail, a connecting rod mechanism and vortex eliminating wings. The vortex eliminating device is arranged between two connecting beams of a first layer and a second layer of the hydropower station water inlet.The fixed arms are fixedly connected with a hydropower station foundation, the connecting rod mechanism rotates around the guide rail, and the vortex eliminating wings rotate around the connecting rodmechanism. The two vortex eliminating wings located on the same guide rail are opposite in rotating direction, on the premise that layered water taking and discharged water temperature increasing arenot affected, a composite vortex structure near the hydropower station water inlet is effectively eliminated, water flow turbulence of a water inlet pipe is reduced, and safe operation of a generatorset is guaranteed. The working time and the working intensity of the vortex eliminating device are optimized, and the head loss of a hydropower station is reduced.
