The invention discloses a mineral polymer material composition, a preparation method thereof and application of the mineral polymer material composition in a thermal insulation material. The mineral polymer material composition is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 10-20 parts of plant fibers, 4-10 parts of kaolin, 4-8 parts of modified vermiculite, 2-6 parts of acrylicresin emulsion, 2-6 parts of expanded perlite, 2-5 parts of calcium silicate and 0.5-2 part of fumed silica. The mineral polymer material composition disclosed by the invention is added into a thermalinsulation material, so that the compressive strength of the thermal insulation material can be remarkably improved, and the heat conductivity coefficient is reduced; and modified sisal fibers and modified vermiculite are added into the mineral polymer composition to significantly improve the compressive strength and reduce the heat conductivity coefficient, and the acrylic resin emulsion in thesystem can seal redundant pores in the surface of the material, so that the compressive strength can be improved, and the heat conductivity coefficient can be reduced.
