The castable comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 35-45 parts of corundum; 20-35 parts of alumina hollowspheres; 5-10 parts of andalusite; 4-6 parts of calcium aluminate cement; 5-10 parts of alumina micro powder; 0.1-1 part of water reducing agent. The ladle permanent layer castable provided by the invention is good in heat insulation performance, excellent in molten steel resistance, capable of improving the lower limit of use safety of a working layer and prolonging the service life of a ladle, and remarkable in economic benefit.
